Let's Get Personal

  • A quote about children, childhood, families, early childhood, etc. that is especially meaningful to you.

“The more that you read, the more things you will know, the more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”– Dr. Seuss

  • The title of a children's book you love and what you love about it.

I really enjoy this book for several reasons however the one thing that stands out the most is it is a metaphor for a child’s educational journey. It starts out like a tiny caterpillar just like a child starts out as a baby. The baby grows into a student at school age. The food is a metaphor for the knowledge they receive from school just as the food is nourishment for the caterpillar to grow and develop as a butterfly.

  • Anything else that fuels your passion for the early childhood field

What fuels me with a love of the field of education is to see a child that tells you they cannot do something but with a little patience and encouragement that start to gain an understanding of the new skill and a smile spreads across their face as the accomplish that skill.
