I would like to take this time to say thank you to each one for your support and encouragement. I have come to enjoy the knowledge and the camaraderie that we have share and that has been shown to me. I have had some ups and downs with this class but just as in our profession it is the forever given and support that has help me make it through this class. I would like to thank our instructor as well as she has really been an asset to me during this class.

NAEYC and ME

I-1.2—To base program practices upon current knowledge and research in the field of early childhood education, child development, and related disciplines, as well as on knowledge of each child.             While children are forever evolving so must the research into the development of how children learn and their rate of development. I have a deep passion to see each child reach their full potential. I read everything I can get my hands to better equip myself with the knowledge I need to ensure their development. of my students. NAEYC, (2009) states, “The profession’s responsibility to promote quality in the care and education of young children compels us to revisit regularly the validity and currency of our core knowledge and positions, such as this one on issues of practice.” I-1.3—To recognize and respect the unique qualities, abilities, and potential of each child.       ...

Personal Childhood Web

Describe each person and briefly state your relationship to each person, in what ways each one has influenced your life as a child, how they nurtured you, cared about you, and how they made you feel special. 1. John Flonnory     John Flonnory is my dad. He has taught me the way I little who goes into a current young lady should be treated. He also taught me while I may grow up I will always have that special guy in my life that has strong arms to always teach me I can do anything when he gives me a hug and tells me to go do what I do and do it the best I can do. 2. Dot Dixon     Dot Dixon is my aunt. The one lesson that is to  this day I still hold dear to me is love what I do but to have fun doing what I do. She instilled in me that as long as you love what you do it would never be a chore or a job to do it. 3. Annie Bell Lawson     Annie Bell Lawson is my grandmother. She is a staple in my life. She is the one that brings my trouble...

A quote about children, childhood, families, early childhood, etc. that is especially meaningful to you.          “The more that you read, the more things you will know, the more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” –  Dr. Seuss The title of a children's book you love and what you love about it. I really enjoy this book for several reasons however the one thing that stands out the most is it is a metaphor for a child’s educational journey. It starts out like a tiny caterpillar just like a child starts out as a baby. The baby grows into a student at school age. The food is a metaphor for the knowledge they receive from school just as the food is nourishment for the caterpillar to grow and develop as a butterfly. Anything else that fuels your passion for the early childhood field What fuels me with a love of the field of education is to see a child that tells you they cannot do something but with a little patience and encouragemen...
